Deviated Septum and Enlarged Turbinates

There can be anatomic blockages leading to nose congestion including Deviated Nasal Septum, Enlarged Nasal Turbinates, nasal polyps or even a tumor. The complete evaluation of nose congestion usually requires a nasal endoscopy (telescope aided examination of the inside of the nose) to better understand the individual factors contributing to nose congestion. Further testing may be recommended including possibly allergy testing or a CT Scan depending on the clinical scenario.
